Mile 191-211 Near Black Mountain Rd Campsite to Ziggy and the Bear Trail Angels

We went over the 200 mile mark, descended 7000 ft from our campsite, and walked our first 20 mile hike. The experience can be summed up as: Relentless and very very windy. The last five miles was trudging through deep sand and high winds.

We arrived to the trail angel's house, Ziggy and the Bear, and were greeted by hot foot baths, showers, pizza and ice-cream. We slept on carpet in their covered back yard with around 30 other hikers.

The next day our friend, Libbi, came out to see us where we spent a delightful several hours catching up. She "volunteered" to take some hiker packages to the post office on our way to Rubie's Diner. It was at this historic meeting place that Libbi came up with our new team trail name: TINGO. (you know, T+Ing+Go) .... which even comes with its own tune, "And TINGO was their name-O".
Spending another night at Ziggy's avoiding a night camping in possible rain. Plan to do 15 miles tomorrow. It's 8:15pm well past our bedtime. Night night! X
