Met a young guy called Sunset from San Francisco at the water source. We walked the alternate route together to avoid an endangered species of frogs. Highway walking. Fun for a change. Nice getting to know him. Saw Ruby again! She was driving the other way but said she was going to be at the Buckhorn Campsite later.
When the three of us got there later that day we went to site 11 to leave her a note. We were planning to walk another three miles to the next water source. As Tracy was writing the note, Ruby pulled up in her car... with the three guys we shared a room with in Wrightwood. She asked if we wanted to stay for hotdogs and beers...and that there was enough room at the site to camp...
So we had a great night around the picnic table and later another 3 hikers (Reason, Games and Hitch) joined us round the campfire.
