Mile 260.5-266 North of Deadmans Ridge to Highway 18 and Big Bear Lake

It's 5am. Uncomfortable. Chilly and damp. Need the loo but too tired to move. Tracy: You awake? Tracy: You getting up now? Me: Ungh T: Well, if you're not getting up neither am I. T: Brrrr! It's freezing, but do you think i should open the zipper a bit? Maybe the wind will dry out the tent a bit. Ice cold draft. T: It would be ideal if its windy today, that way we can put up the tent later to dry it out. What do you think?
All I am thinking is "Shut up". I am not a morning person. By the time we were attempting to fold the wet tent  together we had both reached the "No, YOU shut the f up!" stage. That's exactly when a hiker appears from nowhere on the trail. "Morning!"
We were lucky that a trail angel was just dropping hikers off at the trail when we reached highway 18, so we were able to get a ride to town. We booked into a private room in the Big Bear Lake hostel. Hot high pressure shower. Laundry. Aaaaah.
