Mile 1132-1153 Twin Peaks to Mt Lincoln

While we were in the trees most of the day yesterday, today's was a fantastic long ridge walk. Tracy was loving it because we were walking along the top of the Squaw Valley most of the morning where she learned to ski as a kid. We walked above a bunch of ski runs and descended down one of them where we had lunch with Cherub, our much better South African Katie replacement.

Great views with Lake Tahoe in the background, lots of wild flowers, hot, sunny but with a great breeze aaaand..... no mosquitos for the second day running. The only neg is we are starting to have to pay attention to water sources again. According to our maps there was a 16 mile dry stretch. We cooked at lunch instead of dinner so reducing the water we needed for our dry camp this evening. Got in 21 miles and stopped at 6pm. Our pace seems to be increasing which means we can put in more miles in the day.
