Mile 2085-2107 Timothy Lake to Timberline Lodge

Woke up to rain. We decided to sleep in for the first time and hope that the rain would stop and the sun come out before we got up. By 7:30 am we decided just to get up and pack up our sodden tent and get on the trail. We came to a river and nice wooden bridge about 4 miles in and just then the sun came out.

We stayed for about an hour drying out our tents. While we were there we met about 7 other northbound hikers coming up the trail, including Mud and Dingo. We  saw them again when we stopped at Little Crater Lake. A bunch of us hitched from the highway to stop at Government Camp for a beer and some food, and to pick up some cheese and nibbles to supplement our food for the next couple of days. We had great chowder and were inspired by Dingo's Berry cobbler ( see photo) to get our own.

We then made our way to Timberline Lodge where we camped under Mount Hood, just near enough to be super close   for tomorrow's breakfast buffet. Can't wait!
