Mile 2383-2402 Old Weather Station Road to Seattle via Snoqualmie Pass

We had 19 miles left to do today to get to Snoqualmie Pass and to rescue. Rescue from rain. Beth and Mary were going to meet us at one of the trailheads, but when they found out we were going to be holing up at a hostel to escape the rain they volunteered to bring us back to Seattle for a night or two instead. Exciting!!!
We got up earlier than usual so we would meet Beth on time. Couldn't believe we had camped half a mile short of epic trail magic. We passed hikers sleeping under a large awning where they were waking up after an evening of burgers and alcohol. They asked if we wanted breakfast but we knew we'd be sucked in and we'd be there too long. We had somewhere to be!
It was a long day and the mist was starting to roll in and the clouds were gathering as we finally arrived at the pass. We arrived at the Chevron station, collected our boxes and had a quick bite to eat at the curry truck. Other hikers started to roll in unencumbered by large packs. The trail angel at the place this morning had driven their bags to Snoqualmie allowing them to slack pack. That would have been awesome. It's all about timing. The minute Beth arrived all the foot pain and fatigue was forgotten. Yeehaa we (T-racy, Booboo and I) were on our way to Seattle!

I was soooo excited to see my human regular clothes and wear my own pajamas! Beth and Mary had cooked a fantastic white chili and corn bread and we had home-made brownies and ice cream for dessert. I've never seen Booboo eat as much, ever. We were tuckered out pretty soon and Mary has to leave early for the airport tomorrow so we're all in bed. On a soft mattress with sheets and real pillows and a bedside light instead of a head light and a flushing toilet instead of a nearby bush. And I am super clean. Sigh.
