We hiked to the Oregon side of the Bridge of the Gods, which was very exciting, and even more exciting, we booked into the Best Western with a view of the Bridge, giant spacious room, continental breakfast, pool and hot tub! Ooh. I practically flew onto the bed. We met Lt Dan in the Lobby about to get back on the trail. He's a really fast hiker but enjoys his zero days. He'd already stayed a week! When Boo boo asked him if he wanted to share with us he decided to stay. We bought mango vodka at the store and I made Brazilian Caipivodkas, with crushed nectarines. Delish. We hit the hit tub and stayed in there till it closed. Now we are real clean!

Mile 2143-2155 7.5 Mile Camp to Cascade Locks
Today's hike took us through some amazing scenery. We passed by lots of falls, the most spectacular being Tunnel Fall which you can, as the name hints at, walk behind the falls through a tunnel. We were just about to look for a spot to break and have breakfast when three wonderful women from Portland, Karen, Jay and Debbie, invited us to sit with them at their campsite and have coffee. Then Toots Magoots and Tears for Beers arrived and joined the party. Then Sparkey and Bebo joined us. We were all laughing, thinking that our hosts didn't know what they were in for, there would be dozens of hikers arriving just to sit in a real camp chair.
