Mile 2296-2313 Shoe Lake to Snow Lake

Got up at our usual 5:45am and was on trail by 6:45. Passed Dan sleeping. Had 8 miles to go to Krackerbarrel store at White Pass to pick up our resupply box. Not sure where Katie slept last night so was pleased to see her at the store. She had camped on the ridge above the lake. We did laundry, ordered great sandwiches made by Kerry, the fantastic store worker, collected our boxes (thanks Beth and Mary!) and ... thanks to Sparkey and Bebo who were staying at the lovely motel, had showers! We also managed to recharge all of our electrical devices and get a few things we needed from the hiker box. And then, rather than stay the night like we normally would or hitch hike into Packwood for hotel, restaurant etc we got back on the trail at 4:30 and hiked another 10 miles. Our strategy now is entirely weather based. No rain = hike on. Rain = Get hotel. Simple! I now care about the weather report. Heard that it may rain on Sunday so we are hoping to do this next section in 4.5 days and get into Snoqualmie on Sunday night and stay in the hostel till the rain stops!
