Mile 2313-2335 Snow Lake to Sheep Lake

What a glorious day! It also happened to be Tracy's birthday. Tracy suggested we have breakfast at 7 miles in. Boo boo and I had planned on making her surprise S'mores but needed a campfire. Just by chance there was a fire pit at the place we stopped and Tracy was so preoccupied with our phone having cell service and making coffee, she didn't notice me starting to gather firewood or Boo boo and I getting the fire started. First we presented her with a large chocolate muffin with green poprocks on it (the Krackerbarrel store yesterday had  no candles so I had to improvise) and a round of "Happy Birthday". Then we joked she had to blow out the fire.
We sat and ate s'mores (that's toasted marshmallow and chocolate between two digestive biscuits for UK peeps) Then the hikers we'd camped with last night joined us, wishing T happy birthday, and helping us finish all the s'mores so Boo boo didn't have to carry them. While at break we got cell service so T got birthday messages and our friend Chris T just happened to call to wish T happy birthday.
We hiked on and T and I had a nice lunch together. We then walked with Toots and Tears in the afternoon through some spectacular scenery. And what a gorgeous day. Beautiful lakes, meadows ridge walks and interesting peaks.

As we were approaching a road a couple of miles before camp we heard a couple below us whooping. Trail angel! This woman Brooke had signs on her car and opened up the trunk to feed us! We had beer, delicious taco soup with chips and sour cream and home-made cookies! And she was so fun! We had a lot of laughs sitting round the car before hiking the last couple of miles before camp. T and I found a secluded spot round the lake and bathed. We ate dinner with Katie, Alphabet Soup and Kudu and shared little whiskeys I'd hidden in my pack. Great day.
