We got on the trail at noon and hiked in the mist and varying types of mild precipitation till 6:30pm. I'm sure we missed a lot of fantastic views. We did have a couple of fleeting sun breaks in the late afternoon though which were lovely. It's supposed to be better tomorrow. I think our plan to wait out the worse of the rain has paid off. We heard today of two hikers who hiked out from Stevens pass on Sunday and then hiked back out again, southbound, the next day because they were soaked through. We also met a couple today who are having to leave the trail because the husband had a medical issue. I hope he's okay.
We camped this evening with a hiker called Max Slack, a guy from Texas. Tracy is terrible with trail names. It took her about 2 weeks to remember and differentiate between Astrid and Israh. So tonight when we met Max again she asked "So, your trail name... It's something Ripper, right?" He laughed, "No, nothing Ripper" "Or Jack something?" she enquired. Really, she said that. And its not like she has a special instinct that senses if someone's a creeper, he's a really nice guy. Can't take her anywhere.

You've only got 158 miles to go! Wow, you'll be finished in a handful of days now... Keep them shredded, bee stung, run soaked booties moving. Xx
Glad the weather is improving, we have been worried about you PCT hikers with all the rain and snow. Congratulations!
